Which grenade bar is healthiest?

Looking to find our which carb killa has the least calories, is low fat and low sugar...?

If you want the Grenade Carb Killa bar with the least calories and which has the lowest fat content and lowest sugar then the best grenade bars to go for are the Caramel Chaos, Fudge Brownie and Dark Choc Mint bars.

Jaffa Quake is also low in fat and similar in calories at 215kcal although as an allrounder it doesn’t quite match up.

Caramel Chaos and Dark Choc Mint both have 214kcals (compared to White Choc Salted Peanut which has 242kcals) and the Caramel Chaos bar also has the least sugar and fat too making it my top choice.

These Carb Killa bars are great to eat any time of day and if you’re looking for an afternoon boost, they are much healthier for you than any chocolate bar you may normally be tempted to reach for.

Eating protein bars is a healthy way to get a balanced diet swapping out the empty calories you get from sweet treats for a protein rich bar which will help you have more protein and less carbs and fat in a day.

Which grenade bar has the least carbs?

Which Grenade Carb Killa bar is best for Keto diet?

All the bars are low in carbs – that’s kind of the point – but if you’re want to know the best grenade bar for a keto diet or generally want to reduce your carb intake even further, then the best carb killa protein bar for you by comparison is going to be Caramel Chaos, closely followed by Cookies & Cream, Dark Choc Mint and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

White Chocolate Salted Peanut, Dark Choc Raspberry and Birthday Cake all have higher carb values plus the new flavour Chocolate Chip Salted Caramel has the highest with 20g so you may want to avoid these – but if you ever fancy a day off being so strict they are some of the best flavours! Which grenade carb killa bars have the most protein?

Which Grenade Carb Killa bar is best for building muscle?

From our Grenade Carb Killa review, the bars with the highest protein in it are the Fudge Brownie and Cookies & Cream. These both have over 23g or protein in each whereas Birthday Cake has 20g.

If you’re looking to build muscle then these will give you the most protein per bar. Remember, the body can only process about 25g of protein in one go though so if you’re looking to take on more protein, don’t just eat two Carb Killa bars in one go – spread them out throughout the day so you gradually take in more protein allowing the  body to process it and sent it to the places it’s needed.

How and when should I eat my grenade Carb Killa bar?

Historically people have always assumed you need to eat your protein bar as soon as possible post-workout. Nowadays though it’s not thought to be quite so fundamental depending on your goals.

If you’re just looking to a more balanced diet or are focusing on your macros to have a higher protein content in your diet or simply want to reduce your calories and fat content to lose weight by swapping chocolate bars for a protein bar, you can eat them when ever you want.

I always get sweet cravings in the afternoon and will chomp my Grenade Carb Killa bar then. Sometimes I’ll chop off a bit and have it as a pre-workout booster before going to the gym and then eat the rest later in the day to spread it out!

As long as you’re not eating more than one at a time your fine. Why is this? Because the body can only process up to 25g of protein in one go so having more than one bar won’t do you any extra good. You might as well spread your grenade bar intake throughout the day so you’re giving your body the best chance of using the protein you’re giving it to its best effect.

Hero Flavours

Grenade Carb Killa Review - Which are the carb killas we're reaching for time and time again?

#1

Salted Caramel

The newest flavour on the scene and boy is it good – caramel gooeyness and a smooth texture – if you’re a fan of Rolo’s you’ll love these. Check out our full review of the carb kill new flavour here.

#3

Birthday Cake

Covered in colourful sprinkles and a super sweet pick me up – what more could you need to brighten your afternoon?

#2

Jaffa Quake

Lower than most in terms of calories and a protein packed alternative to their name-sake. Less than 8g of fat too making it it one of our go to flavours currently.

#4

White Chocolate Cookie

A great alternative to the milk chocolate flavoured ones but not as sweet (and sickly – sorry!) as the White Chocolate Salted Peanut bar. If you like this, you’ll also love the White Chocolate Cookie spread – check out the review here.
