Grenade Carb Killa New Flavour Review

carb killa new flavour review

Check out my new review of the carb killa new flavour bar below....

I’ve just opened my latest multi pack box of grenade bars and discovered inside a BRAND NEW FLAVOUR! Now it maybe that this bar has been out for a while and I’m just slow to get my hands (and mouth) on it but what a great surprise! In case you’ve not tried it yet…let me introduce you to…the Chocolate Chip Salted Caramel, for me the carb killa new flavour bar and a source of excitement as you can probably tell!

Having only tried this once, its already my new favourite flavour (it tastes like a giant Rolo) so I had to jot down my thoughts for you here along with its key stats to show how it matches up and compares to the other flavours out there.

Here’s my review of the carb killa new flavour and how it compares…

Key Features to consider...

  • Taste 5/5

For me this is the best - not quite as sickly sweet as the white chocolate salted peanut carb killa (I usually end up cutting mine in half and eating them in two sittings) and a smoother texture than the chocolate fudge brownie. Its juuuuuust right and like I said before, it really reminds me of the taste of a packed of Rolos. Yum

  • Protein Content 4/5

20g - not huge and actually down there at the bottom of the list with Birthday Cake and White Chocolate Salted Peanut - but with a difference of just 3.3g to the top spot holders Cookies & Cream and Fudge Brownie, unless you're tracking at this super low level, it shouldn't matter too much.

  • Calories Per Bar 3/5

With each 60g bar holding 226 calories it is definitely one of the meatier bars in terms of calories but its still less than those found in the White Chocolate Salted Caramel and Dark Chocolate Raspberrybars. Its very close to Peanut Nutter which has 223kcals.

  • Carbs 3/5

This carb killa new flavour bar has 20g of carbs (of which sugars 1.4g). This is in fact the highest carb count of any of the carb killa bars (the title previously went to Birthday Cake and Dark Chocolate Raspberry which both have 18g of carbs). So, if you follow Keto diet or want a lower carb bar this might not be for you. But if you're happy with carbs and know that you use the energy they give, then this is still a great bar.

Total Score of the Carb Killa New Flavour...

15/20
3.7/5

Summary of the carb killa new favour

Overall the Chocolate Chip Salted Caramel carb killa bar tastes amazing and is a great snack that hits the spot if you crave sweet things and like to bulk up your protein intake with a chocolatey bar. However, compared to some of the other carb killa bars, it is higher in calories and carbs and lower in protein.

Whilst with all the carb killa bars we’re not talking huge differences but if you’re interested in the best over all bar for health, this isn’t going to knock any of the top rated ones off their spot.  If you want to see the full table of all the bars and which is the best overall, check out my full review of all the carb killa bar flavours here

Try it for yourself and see if you agree – would you rate it lower for taste of more highly elsewhere? This is all my opinion based on the stats and my own taste buds so make up your own mind by trying it for yourself, the proof is in the eating remember!

Bulk buying carb killa bars is always a cheaper way to stock up, check the prices of the carb killa new flavour bar below.
